Katherine Tejeda is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of experience in healthcare. She began her career as a medical assistant in 2010 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Holy Family University in Philadelphia, PA, in 2018. She later completed her Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Chamberlain University before pursuing advanced training in psychiatric mental health.
Katherine has cared for patients across a wide range of medical and mental health settings. She has experience working with individuals affected by trauma, opioid addiction, and HIV in community-based care, as well as providing specialized treatment for patients on a bone marrow transplant unit. Her time serving on the frontlines of the opioid crisis in Kensington, in the heart of Philadelphia, profoundly shaped her passion for mental health and strengthened her commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Katherine is dedicated to making care accessible and inclusive. She is known for her empathy, active listening, and ability to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel respected and understood. She works collaboratively with each individual to develop personalized treatment plans that support healing and long-term wellness.
