MEET Alexis Sweeney

I am a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse
Practitioner with over 10 years of nursing experience spanning emergency and urgent care settings. I
earned my Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Felician University and my Psychiatric-Mental Health
Nurse Practitioner certification from Wilkes University, where I completed clinical training caring for
patients across outpatient psychiatric settings.
I provide care for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and life stressors using
a collaborative, evidence-based approach focused on creating a supportive and nonjudgmental
environment. My emergency medicine background has strengthened my skills in comprehensive
assessment, crisis management, and caring for patients navigating both physical and mental health
concerns.
I am committed to providing inclusive, affirming care for individuals from all backgrounds, including the
LGBTQ+ community. Outside of clinical practice, I have participated in international medical missions
with Emergency Project, helping expand healthcare access in Zimbabwe, Guatemala, the Dominican
Republic, and Jordan. I value the connection between physical and mental wellness and enjoy staying
active, traveling, and scuba diving.
